Jump into the volcanic depths of Ustica and swim alongside barracuda in one of the Mediterranean's most pristine underwater paradises.
Mister Jump is a dive center located in the main square of Ustica island, just to the right of the church and within ten minutes' walk from the port. The operation runs daily boat dives using two custom-built 7.2-meter rigid inflatable boats equipped with 220CV outboard motors, departing each morning from Banchina Barresi. Divers can explore a volcanic underwater mountain rising from depths of 2000 meters to just above sea level, swimming among barracuda and groupers in waters largely untouched by mass tourism. The center is open from April through October and offers both daytime and night dives for certified divers, as well as snorkeling trips and introductory 'battesimo del mare' experiences that stay within 5 meters of the surface. The facility features a dedicated theory room with video equipment, restrooms with showers, and an on-site gas filling station capable of handling both air and nitrox refills. The staff includes Alessandro Ruju, an ISDA Instructor Trainer and PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, who shares stories from each dive site, and Florian Chabbal, a Dive Master. The center maintains a fleet of 50 fifteen-liter twin-hose tanks and 40 complete sets of diving equipment with computers and torches available for guests.
