From a first breath underwater in Guam to teaching the next generation of divers in Southeast Texas — Neil and Tarah Mireles bring real-world dive experience and a passion for exploration to every class and trip they run.

Mireles Scuba is a Beaumont, Texas operation launched in July 2023 by Neil Mireles, an Open Water Scuba Instructor who got his start diving while serving in the US Navy. His first two years underwater took him to bucket-list locations across the South Pacific and Indian Ocean — Guam, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, the Persian Gulf, and Australia — and that global perspective now informs the way he teaches, with a focus on helping students develop a genuine love for the underwater world. The team is a true partnership: Neil handles instruction across the full range of courses from entry-level open water through professional certifications, while his wife Tarah — a Rescue Diver and Divemaster certified in 2024 — serves as Travel Planner. Courses offered span entry-level, continuing education, and specialty tracks. Beyond classroom and pool instruction, Mireles Scuba has expanded into organized adventure travel, with Tarah's background and passion for travel shaping group dive trips and destination experiences.
