Marshland Adventures, founded in 1998 and operating out of Chimney Creek Marina on Tybee Island, offers inshore light tackle fishing charters along the Georgia coast. Owner and full-time guide Captain Stan Allen brings over 40 years of experience fishing local backwaters, tailoring each trip around tides, seasonal conditions, and the skill level of the group on board. The fleet consists of a 25' Majek Bay Boat powered by a 300 Yamaha 4-stroke and a 23' Sea Pro Bay Boat powered by a 225 Mercury 4-stroke, each equipped with Power-Pole shallow water anchors, Minn Kota trolling motors, and Garmin GPS. Charters are capped at three anglers per booking and include all fishing licenses, bait, tackle, and fish cleaning. The primary targets in the waters around Tybee Island and Savannah include redfish on the flats and marsh edges, speckled sea trout along deeper structure, flounder in sandy bottoms, and a variety of sharks including bonnetheads. Fly fishing trips are also available for guests who bring their own gear, and corporate outings with multiple boats can be arranged. Two trip lengths are offered: a 4-hour half-day option well-suited for families, children, and first-time anglers, and a 6-hour option for those wanting more time to move between productive inshore areas and refine their approach. A $100 deposit per trip is required to secure a reservation, with refunds available up to seven days before the trip or in the event of inclement weather.
