Commandeer the waters and be the captain of your next fishing adventure — whether you want to reel in a monster fish or do battle with a shark, Mad Shark Charters has you covered.
Mad Shark Charters operates out of Darien, Georgia, serving the greater Brunswick area. Founded by David Hust following a 22-year military career, the charter is now led by his brother, Captain Adam Hust, an 8-year U.S. Army veteran who has been fishing the waters around Brunswick for over 25 years. Captain Adam brings deep local knowledge and a reputation for locating fish when others can't. The operation is built around the idea that a day on the water should be more than just a trip — it should be an experience and a memory. The charter caters to guests of all experience levels, with a particular emphasis on family-friendly fun; children are welcomed aboard and encouraged to participate fully, including taking the helm. Services span inshore fishing, offshore fishing, shark fishing, and eco/sightseeing tours. Captain Adam is described as laid-back, humorous, and genuinely passionate about sharing the water with guests. The charter's goal on every outing is to ensure guests catch plenty of fish, have an amazing time, and leave looking forward to their next visit — all while honoring the legacy of founder David Hust, who passed away in 2023.
