Looe Key Reef Resort
Roll out of bed, onto a dive boat, and back to the tiki bar by sunset — without ever leaving the property. Looe Key Reef Resort puts one of the Florida Keys' finest reefs just minutes from your room.
Looe Key Reef Resort sits canal-side on Ramrod Key, Florida, placing guests within minutes of Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary — widely regarded as one of the most pristine coral reef systems in the Florida Keys. The resort runs two scheduled dive and snorkel trips every day, departing at 8:00 am and 12:45 pm, with weekly night dives and wreck dives to the Adolphus Busch also available. All trips are un-guided by default, but experienced dive professionals can be hired on-site to lead reef or wreck dives for individuals and groups. The on-site dive shop handles everything from gear rental (BCDs, regulators, fins, masks, wetsuits, tanks, weights, and EAN32 nitrox) to full SSI and PADI certification courses ranging from Open Water through Divemaster and Instructor. Specialty courses cover navigation, deep, wreck, search and recovery, nitrox, drift, gas blending, perfect buoyancy, night diving, and various ecology topics. Courses are scheduled around guests' time in the Keys, and class sizes are kept small for personalized instruction. Beyond diving, the property features the Looe Key Tiki Bar & Grill, open seven days a week with daily food specials, live music, 18 TVs for sports, and happy hour. Sunset tours off the coast of Summerland Key run April through November, rounding out an offering that makes Looe Key Reef Resort a genuine dive-and-stay destination in the Lower Keys.
