Veteran-owned Virginia Beach charter offering SDI scuba training from beginner through technical levels alongside walk-on dive trips, fishing charters, and coastal tours.
Kraken Charters is a veteran-owned multi-activity charter operation based in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Affiliated with SDI, the operation offers scuba walk-on dive trips for certified divers alongside a comprehensive training curriculum — spanning Learn to Dive, Solo Diver, and Divemaster certifications, through technical programs including Intro to Tech and Advanced Nitrox & Deco. A dedicated Dive Sites page highlights local spots served by the operation. On the training side, Kraken Charters covers a broad spectrum of SDI programs, making it a resource for divers at nearly every experience level. Certified divers can sign up for scuba walk-on trips to join scheduled boat dives, while newer divers have a clear pathway through entry-level certifications and onward into technical diving specialties. Beyond diving, the operation runs inshore and offshore fishing charters, dolphin tours, sunset cruises, a Starlight Cruise, and private party charters — giving it a wide footprint on Virginia Beach's coastal waters. The retail section offers rods and reels, JBL products, and electronics for those outfitting themselves for their next trip.
