Kona Honu Divers

Experience the world-famous manta ray night dive in Kona or explore deep ocean blackwater sites with a team that has over 60,000 collective dives.

Kona Honu Divers operates from Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii, running day and night dive trips out of their own custom-built boats. The operation is known for its manta ray night dives along the Kona coast, where divers encounter large aggregations of these animals in open water. They also offer blackwater diving experiences that take guests into deep ocean waters to observe plankton blooms and spawning events. The shop provides a full range of scuba services including PADI certification courses from Open Water through Rescue Diver levels, as well as specialty courses like Deep, Enriched Air, and Peak Performance Buoyancy. For non-divers or those looking for surface experiences, they run snorkeling tours to Kealakekua Bay and manta ray night snorkel trips. As a full-service dive shop, Kona Honu Divers sells scuba, freediving, and spearfishing equipment while offering gear rentals and repair services. Their boats are equipped with amenities like hot showers and shaded upper decks, aiming to provide a high level of comfort for guests during their underwater adventures.
