Jim's Dive Shop

St. Petersburg dive shop offering SSI Open Water training and gear services that refers local divers to area charter boats and organizes international trips like a Belize resort package.

Jim's Dive Shop is a long-standing dive shop in St. Petersburg, Florida that has been serving the local area for over 45 years. The business focuses on SCUBA instruction and gear services rather than running its own charter boat; it offers Open Water Diver courses (with classroom, pool at St. Pete Beach Aquatic Center, and open water dives typically at Lake Denton or Rainbow River), equipment sales and rentals, air/Nitrox fills, and service. For divers wanting to reach the Gulf Coast's offshore artificial reefs and limestone ledges, Jim's Dive Shop points customers to local charter operators such as Tanks-A-Lot Dive Charters, Gulfport Dive Center, Narcosis SCUBA, and Aristakat Dive Charters. The shop also organizes international dive travel; its upcoming trip is a 7-night package at Blackbird Caye Resort on Turneff Atoll in Belize (June 13-20, 2026), which includes lodging, meals, three dives per day, valet diving, and a full-day excursion to the Great Blue Hole, Half Moon Caye, and Long Caye.
