Gary's Dive Shop operates out of San Carlos in the Sea of Cortez, offering boat-based diving and snorkeling trips to local reefs and shipwrecks. The shop has been running since 1971 and is known for its comfortable boats that serve complimentary soft drinks and fish tacos on board. Divers can explore sites ranging from shallow reef areas to deep underwater canyons near Seal Island, which is home to hundreds of sea lions. Newer wreck dives are available at depths between 40' and 65', including the Ex-Santos and Ex-Suchiate. The crew includes Captain Jorge and Hector for boat operations, with instructor Jimmy leading guided dive experiences. In addition to diving, Gary's offers fishing excursions where the captain fillets your catch, as well as Donna's Nature Tours which provide narrated boat trips highlighting geological features and wildlife like dolphins and sea lions.
