Florida Freedivers
Dive deeper, longer and safer — Florida Freedivers has equipped and educated the freediving and spearfishing community from its North Palm Beach shop for over 25 years.
Founded in 1999 and based at a physical retail location in North Palm Beach, Florida, Florida Freedivers has grown into what it calls America's largest freediving and spearfishing store. The business stocks over a million dollars' worth of dive and spearo gear both in-store and through its online shop, carrying brands such as Koah, Cressi, Riffe, Omer, Waihana, Headhunter, C4, and Pathos across a full range of categories — masks, fins, fin blades, wetsuits, rashguards, spearguns, polespears, tips and rigging, dive computers, weight belts, gear bags, and accessories. Beyond gear sales, Florida Freedivers also operates as a freediving and spearfishing training center — claiming the title of the largest such educator in the United States — with courses designed to help divers go deeper, stay down longer, and dive more safely. The business was founded by Mike and Cherryl Damms, originally from South Africa, changed hands in 2012 when Jonathan and Kelsey Dickinson took over, and was acquired in 2020 by Duncan Scarry, who continues to run it with his family.
