Evolved Diving
Venturing hours underground through Florida's celebrated cave systems and into the cenotes of the Yucatan Peninsula, Evolved Diving turns passionate advanced divers into talented, conscientious technical cave divers.
Evolved Diving is based in Fort White, Florida—the heart of Florida's cave country—and focuses exclusively on technical diving instruction, mentoring, and guided dives for experienced divers. The curriculum covers a full spectrum of overhead and advanced disciplines: cavern and cave diving, wreck diving, rebreather diving, Trimix and Extended Range diving, and sidemount configuration. Instruction extends beyond local Florida springs to the cenotes of the Yucatan Peninsula and cave systems around the world. The operation is led by James, who has been cave-certified since 1996 and has logged well over 2,000 cave dives in environments that include some of Florida's most celebrated systems—Eagle's Nest and Twin Dees—as well as caves in Mexico, the Bahamas, Russia's Orda Cave, and Palau. He holds an Instructor Trainer credential with TDI and offers courses through IANTD, TDI/SDI, NSS-CDS, and RAID. Courses are not taught to bare minimums: the emphasis is on safety, conservation, streamlined configuration, and a high standard of diver proficiency. James is also the owner of Hidden Worlds Diving, a boutique technical training facility in Fort White specializing in advanced instruction and equipment sales. For divers ready to move past recreational limits into deep, long, or overhead-environment diving, Evolved Diving provides the experience, rigor, and mentoring needed to make that transition responsibly.
