Escapedive is a Mission Viejo, California scuba instruction operation with 29–30 years of experience teaching students of all ages and backgrounds. Led by instructor Sergio Avila, the school emphasizes small group classes and private lessons so each student receives personalized attention throughout the learning process — from eLearning modules at home to confined water pool sessions and open-water checkout dives. The curriculum spans Discovery Scuba introductions and Scuba Tune-Up refreshers all the way through Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Advanced, and Rescue Diver certifications. Sergio and his team have taught students on both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, working with participants ranging from 10-year-olds earning their first certification to adults tackling advanced courses. Beyond local instruction, Escapedive organizes group dive travel to popular destinations including Catalina Island, Cozumel, Hawaii, and La Paz — giving newly certified and experienced divers alike the chance to take their open-water checkout dives and continue their progression in world-class dive environments.
