Emerald Charters runs year-round dive trips out of Jupiter, Florida, aboard a 42-foot US Coast Guard–certified custom dive vessel called the "Emerald." The operation has built a well-known reputation as Jupiter's shark diving specialists, leveraging the Gulf Stream currents that funnel an exceptional diversity of marine life close to shore and produce drift diving conditions few other destinations can match. Each trip is a 3-tank expedition departing at 8:30 AM and returning by 2:30 PM, with a gourmet boxed lunch provided. Shark encounters are the headline attraction — bull sharks, hammerheads, tiger sharks, lemon sharks, whale sharks, and manta rays have all been documented on the boat's dives. The drift is managed and in clear water, offering a true sensory experience for certified divers who want meaningful wildlife encounters rather than crowded, casual reef tours. Nitrox certification courses are available through both PADI and SDI for guests looking to extend their bottom time, with the class able to be signed up for at booking and completed online ahead of a practical session on the morning of the dive. Safety protocols are taken seriously: full wetsuits, gloves, and a hood or beanie are mandatory, and guests are asked to avoid white or yellow fins and masks that could disrupt sharks' natural feeding behavior. Gear and tanks can be ordered through the operator and delivered directly to the boat.
