Gear for divers by divers: expert staff, world-class repair, and a massive selection at two Illinois locations.
Dive Right In Scuba is a family-owned dive shop operating out of two locations in the Chicago suburbs: Plainfield and Orland Park. Founded by Rod Pedersen to share his passion for diving and build a community around it, the business was carried on after his passing in 2016 by his son Mike, who continues to lead the operation with a focus on customer service and local engagement. The shop serves as a one-stop destination for scuba divers of all levels. It offers a massive online store alongside its physical locations, providing everything from recreational gear like BCDs and regulators to technical diving equipment and wetsuits. The business is known for its 'Gear For Divers By Divers' approach, featuring expert staff who can assist with configuration and selection. Beyond retail, Dive Right In Scuba provides world-class repair services for regulators and drysuits, as well as PADI and SDI certification courses ranging from Open Water to Instructor level. The company also runs community programs, including the PADI Seal Team AquaMissions for youth and an approved VA Educational Benefits training facility for veterans.
