Deep South Scuba is based in Ridgeland, Mississippi, and bills itself as the largest dive shop in Central Mississippi. Operating out of a storefront at 1060 East County Line Road, the shop runs regular group trips to Pensacola, Florida, where divers board the H2O Below — a 36-foot Newton custom dive boat certified for 24 divers but limited to 16 recreational or 10 technical divers for comfort. Pensacola trips cover mid-shore and off-shore dive sites including named wrecks and artificial reefs, at depths ranging from 55 to 130 feet, with departures at 8 a.m. Beyond local Gulf excursions, Deep South Scuba organizes multi-day dive travel to international destinations including Guanaja Honduras, Cozumel Mexico, Bonaire, and Beqa Lagoon in Fiji. These packages include a range of accommodations, meals, guided dives, and tanks, giving members of the dive community a full-service travel option managed through the shop. The shop provides diver training from beginner through instructor level via SSI, including a full roster of specialty courses such as Enriched Air Nitrox, Deep Diving, Wreck Diving, Underwater Photography, and more. Equipment sales, air and nitrox fills, and full gear servicing round out the shop's offerings.
