Deep Sea Express Charters
Hop aboard "The Hard Way" for an easygoing day on the water off Wrightsville Beach. Whether you're chasing Spanish mackerel just offshore or heading out to the deep ledges, Captain Ger will take care of everything while you enjoy a comfortable and relaxed setting.
Deep Sea Express Charters operates from Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, running trips out of the local docks on "The Hard Way," a 26-foot diesel-powered fishing boat. The operation is led by Captain Ger Hardin, who holds a Coast Guard license and has over two decades of commercial fishing experience in these waters. Trips range from short half-day runs to Masonboro Inlet for Spanish mackerel to full eight-hour excursions twenty miles offshore where the relief ledges hold King Mackerel, Amberjack, Barracuda, Mahi, and occasionally Sailfish. The boat comfortably accommodates four adults with room for a fifth or sixth in standing positions. The charter is a blanket-permitted vessel, meaning guests do not need to purchase individual fishing licenses. All bait, tackle, and ice are provided on board, and the captain cleans and bags fillets upon return to the dock.
