Based in Tyler, TX, David's Diving offers recreational and technical scuba instruction with a training philosophy rooted in over-preparation and safety. Inspired by instruction under Terrence Tysal Sr., Director of Training for NAUI Worldwide, the team maintains a higher diver-to-professional ratio than any training organization requires, and all course prices include e-learning, classroom, pool sessions, and gear — with no hidden costs or required gear purchases. Courses range from a $75 Try Scuba introduction through Open Water, Advanced, Rescue, and all the way up to Sidemount, Intro to Tech, and Divemaster. The operation also provides essential fill station services — air fills at $10, nitrox at $15, and trimix at $2.50/cu. ft. — along with visual inspections, O2 cleaning, valve repair, and full regulator, BCD, and drysuit service and repair. The business runs by appointment only, and prospective students or divers can call to arrange a complimentary consultation. David's Diving is committed to making the sport accessible: veterans and first responders receive significant discounts on classes and gear, and the Larry Bell Memorial Scholarship funds free Open Water training each summer for four junior divers aged 10–17.
