With 35 years fishing the Gulf waters around Dauphin Island, Gulf Shores, and Fort Morgan, this Alabama charter has the local knowledge to put you on fish — from fast 4-hour nearshore runs to 24-hour deep-sea expeditions to the Tuna grounds.
Operating from 1014 De Soto Avenue on Dauphin Island, Alabama, Dauphin Island Sport Fishing Charters brings 35 years of experience fishing the Gulf waters around Dauphin Island, Gulf Shores, and Fort Morgan. The operation offers a full spectrum of trip durations — from 4 to 24 hours — giving anglers of every level, from first-timers to seasoned offshore fishermen, an option that fits their schedule and target species. Shorter 4- and 6-hour trips head to the nearshore fishing grounds in search of King Mackerel, Cobia, Jack Crevalle, Shark, and Red Snapper, with no prior angling experience required. For those wanting to push further offshore, 8- to 18-hour trips access Grouper, Amberjack, Tilefish, Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna, and Wahoo. The 24-hour run reaches the deep Tuna grounds, where Blue Marlin and White Marlin roam and whale encounters are sometimes possible. Beyond fishing, the charter offers 2–3 hour Sunset/Dolphin Cruises for groups of up to six, showcasing Dauphin Island's reputation as the Sunset Capital of Alabama. Walk-on trips at $250 per person allow individuals without a full group to join a shared 4-hour fishing excursion alongside other groups.
