Calypso Divers of Tampa Bay
From a 5-night liveaboard through Cuba's pristine Gardens of the Queen to guided diving at the Atlantis Resort in Dumaguete, Calypso Divers of Tampa Bay has been connecting divers to world-class underwater destinations — and introducing Tampa Bay to scuba — since 1987.
Calypso Divers of Tampa Bay has operated in the Tampa Bay area since 1987 with a mission of introducing the local community to the underwater world. The operation runs an active calendar of international dive travel, including a 5-night all-inclusive liveaboard aboard the luxury Avalon Jardines IV through Cuba's Gardens of the Queen, departing from Júcaro Port with 11 dives per week including a night dive and nitrox included, plus a week-long package at the Atlantis Resort in Dumaguete, Philippines — known as the "Frogfish capital of the Philippines" — offering up to four day dives and one night dive daily. Locally, Calypso organizes dive experiences such as Megalodon Shark Tooth Hunting dives and PADI Dive Against Debris events in the Tampa Bay area, giving divers of all experience levels a regular reason to get in the water. A Fiji dive travel option also appears on their calendar for those looking to extend their dive horizons beyond the Gulf. Training is a pillar of the business, with PADI courses running from Open Water Diver through Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, Wreck Diver, and Dry Suit Diver. Calypso also operates a retail store stocking regulators, dive computers, masks, wetsuits, BCDs, and full-face masks.
