Blue Stone Dive Resort is a freshwater dive site located in Thomasville, NC, occupying the former slate quarry of a 305-acre property. The lake spans 19.5 acres and features man-made attractions along with natural marine life such as Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Paddlefish, Japanese Koi, and nonstinging freshwater jelly fish in late summer. The resort operates on weekends from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, offering scuba gear rentals, air fills, indoor bathrooms with hot showers, a snack bar, and paddle board rentals. Water conditions typically feature temperatures of 83°F at the top dropping to 80°F at the bottom, with visibility ranging from 15 to 20 feet. In addition to recreational diving, Blue Stone Dive Resort functions as an SDI/TDI/ERDI Instructor Facility offering Open-water certification and Advanced Continued Education Courses.
