Learn to dive in a heated indoor pool with NAUI-certified instructors at this family-owned Tampa Bay adventure shop.
Bill Jackson's Shop for Adventure is a family-owned outdoor sporting goods store in Pinellas Park that has been serving the Tampa Bay area since 1946. The shop operates an indoor heated swimming pool used specifically as a dive training tank and offers scuba certification courses led by NAUI-certified instructors, including Basic Open Water SCUBA Diving Courses. The business is not primarily a dive charter operator; it does not list bookable local dive trips for already-certified divers. Instead, its core offerings are retail sales of outdoor equipment (scuba gear, fishing tackle, camping supplies), professional rentals and servicing, and training classes in scuba diving, firearms safety, fly casting, and other outdoor skills. The store emphasizes personalized service over big-box competition, with staff who provide expert advice on equipment fit and technique. The facility includes an indoor shooting range, a carpeted ski slope, and the aforementioned dive pool.
