From a large indoor heated pool in West Monroe to dive destinations around the world, Bayou Divers trains and equips Louisiana divers for every underwater adventure ahead.
Bayou Divers is a full-service dive facility situated in West Monroe, Louisiana, centered around a large indoor, heated pool that supports year-round scuba classes, swim lessons, and pool parties. The shop provides PADI certification courses led by a team of experienced instructors, preparing local divers for open-water exploration on future getaways. Students earn the globally recognized PADI certification through classroom instruction, pool sessions, and skills testing. The instructor roster includes David Price, who took his first dive in 1975 and began his path as a PADI professional in 1997, with personal interests in cavern, drift, and wreck diving; William Robert, an owner and instructor who shares the operation with co-owner Sommer Robert; Willis Freeland, praised for patience and a calm teaching style; and Robert King, who has been diving since 2015. Together the team covers beginner through advanced instruction across the Arklamiss region. In addition to courses, Bayou Divers sells, rents, and services dive equipment, and organizes dive travel for individuals and private groups looking to explore destinations beyond Louisiana. The shop encourages divers to join their community list for advance notice of upcoming dive vacations and invitations to Diver Block Parties.
