Bay Islands College of Diving operates out of Utila on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. The center runs fun dive trips for certified divers with a maximum group size of six per instructor and includes valet service and surface interval snacks in their packages. The facility features an indoor pool, an artificial house reef off its dock, and three named boats: The Neptune, The Tiburon, and The Sea Sprite. Divers can explore sites known for seahorses, turtles, scorpion fish, lionfish, eagle rays, octopus, reef squid, lobsters, crabs, and the endemic large-eyed toadfish. In addition to recreational diving, the college offers PADI Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver courses, Divemaster internships, and Instructor Development Courses. All course packages include accommodation for one night per two dives.
