Aquatic Obsessions

Train with a veteran St. Petersburg dive shop and explore the world's reefs on their organized Cozumel and Bahamas liveaboard adventures.

Aquatic Obsessions is a full-service water sport and scuba training facility located in St. Petersburg, Florida, operating for over three decades from its shop on Central Avenue. The business specializes in comprehensive diver education, offering everything from beginner Open Water certifications to advanced specialties like wreck diving and fossil collecting. A distinctive feature of their training program is the commitment to open-water boat dives at high-visibility locations such as Rainbow River or the Florida Keys rather than local lakes or sinkholes. Beyond local instruction, Aquatic Obsessions organizes destination dive travel for its clients. Their 2026 schedule includes a week-long trip to Cozumel featuring all-inclusive lodging and daily boat dives, as well as a liveaboard cruise on the Cat Ppalu through the Exuma Cays in the Bahamas. The shop also serves as a retail hub where customers can purchase or rent equipment, with staff offering price-matching guarantees against other local dive shops.
