Air Hogs SCUBA
From first breath underwater to Cave Rebreather certification, Air Hogs SCUBA keeps classes small and personal so every student gets the attention they deserve — backed by some of the most rigorous equipment service standards in the industry.
Operating out of Clayton, North Carolina, just outside Raleigh, Air Hogs SCUBA has been training divers since 2011 with a deliberate emphasis on small, mostly private classes designed to maximize individual attention. The facility covers the full certification ladder — from Discover SCUBA pool introductions all the way through Cave Rebreather programs — and conducts open water training sessions at Fantasy Lake SCUBA Park in Rolesville, NC, with pool work at the Smithfield Aquatic Center. A pay-per-session pricing model at $120 per student per session, with sessions typically running three to five hours, lets students break payments across training milestones rather than paying everything upfront. Beyond instruction, the shop operates as a full-service equipment center capable of handling nearly any regulator brand, with a standardized labor rate of $40 per stage plus parts and a standing policy that every regulator leaves the shop O2-clean at no additional charge. Additional services include tank hydrostatic testing ($55 per tank), visual inspections ($25), valve rebuilds, tank tumbling, tank fills in air, Nitrox, and O2, and OTS full face mask servicing. Equipment sales are guided by what the page calls honest recommendations over upselling. A Disabled Veteran-owned small business and an official SOCOM partner, Air Hogs SCUBA is also recognized as one of the largest public safety diving training facilities in the world, offering consultation and investigation services to dive teams alongside recreational and technical training programs. The operation is headquartered in North Carolina with partnered shops across north, central, and southern Florida.
